Virtual Nationals Championships
Virtual Nationals 2023 - 2024
The Virtual Nationals are open to any U14, U12, or U10 athlete who wishes to participate. Following great feedback on the new format, we have decided to continue to open the Virtual Nationals competition to any athlete wishing to submit a video, while the U.S. Cup Junior Series will run as a stand-alone event.
The deadline for video submission is to be determined.
A link will be provided for athletes and parents to submit videos for Virtual Nationals.
In addition to the video please don't forget to also submit a fun fact about yourself, your best finish of the season, your furthest jump, favorite hill, or favorite part of this years' season. You need not include all of these facts but at least one when sending in your video!
Who Can Participate
ANY U10, U12, and U14 athlete with a current U.S. Ski and Snowboard Membership may submit a video (see video submission guidelines).
- As in previous years, each age group, and gender, will have a compilation of all videos submitted.
- Videos should be of skiers on their age-appropriate hill. They are as follows:
- U10: 10-20M
- U12: 15-30M
- U14: 30-50M
- Video submissions must follow the guidelines below to be accepted for the 2023/2024 Virtual Championships. Video submissions for this season’s Virtual National Championships should be a competition jump. If that is not feasible then a practice jump may be submitted.

Guidelines
- Cell phone video is acceptable but the higher the quality the better
- If using a cell phone, please use a LANDSCAPE PERSPECTIVE (cell phone long ways) rather than portrait perspective (cell phone up and down)
- Take the video from the side of the hill, ideally from a judge’s perspective
- Videos from the bottom of the hill make it much harder to see the skier
- The video should include the in-run, takeoff, and landing phases of the jump
- Only LIVESPEED videos will be accepted
- NOTE: In most cases, if the video file is over 25MB it must be submitted via a file sharing app such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
The Virtual Championships are an imperfect measure of ability and intended to foster learning and community and not serve as the ultimate arbiter of who’s the best in the nation.
